Lachlan Diecasters is a family company in continuous operation since 1945.

Our original company EPC Engineering Pty Ltd started in a garage in 1969 in western Sydney. This was the beginning of our toolroom.

EPC  moved to Padstow in 1969 and grew and evolved from there, into a recognized and respected tooling supplier.

Since the early 60’s it has been producing diecasting dies & plastic moulds for leading companies at the time in manufacturing. Tooling was built for many of the mainstream OEM companies being automotive, marine, whitegoods &  defense among other industries.

In 1985 Lachlan Electroplaters & Diecasters was purchased by EPC Engineering to ensure a more stable future for the toolroom.

Lachlan which started c1945 was a producer of zinc castings that were chrome plated, when we purchased the business it was ready for a new direction.

From this point a program of growth was established to build the business. The basis of this was good quality work and reliable service at the best price possible.

Lachlan was located in Alexandria until 1991 when the volume of work necessitated larger premises.

From this time new machines were purchased and our capacity range was increased up to 500 tonnes in Alum and 320 tonnes in Zinc.

In 2000 our aluminium melting capacity was renewed from gas fired furnaces to induction melting, which produces the most homogenous molten aluminium and is the most greenhouse friendly melting available.

In 2003 CNC machining was added to our facilities to enhance our casting services and provide a complete product.
